The starting hourly rate for this role at the Sarnia Service Centre is $36.57. There is an afternoon shift premium of $1.00/hour.
Requirements:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Minimum 2-3 years of welding experience
- Able to pass entry level test in 3-position Flux core (FCAW), 2F, 3FD, 4F, using 11-gauge material
- Comprehension of welding and cutting equipment in order to adjust for procedural needs, and to inspect for safe operation
- Competent and safe use of shop tools and equipment: electric/pneumatic/hydraulic tools, cranes, shears, and hand tools
- Railcar repair experience is an asset
- WHMIS trained
